Great food. Horrible customer service had 4 different servers and they dropped the check before we were even done eating. Shouldn't have tipped 18% i regret that. Would not come back
This place was packed when we got there around 5.30pm. Its a small vibrant Japanese restaurant. Service was fast and efficient (don't expect any personal feel to the service here). Sushi roll was satisfactory - eel smells a little funky. The size of Gyudon was generous - nothing mindblowing special about it either. Recommend to come here during happy hours.
The food was great. I was pleased with the sushi and shushi but the service wasn't there. It was pretty clear that the lady who attended us did not like her job.
Love Zento! The service is always good, and I've not had bad sushi from them yet. Make sure that if you're going for a Friday evening or a weekend that you call and make reservations first. They fill up fast after 6:45.
Let me start by stating that the food here is awesome. Im a neighborhood customer and have been coming to Zento for years (since they opened in-fact). I was in a hurry today, placed a to-go order for over $75. I asked if an exception, could be make for 1 item on the happy hour menu (at happy-hour price) since I am a very regular customer. I was VERY RUDELY told, absolutely not, like I was a criminal. The difference in price was only $2 and so not a big deal, however.., as a regular the way I was treated was absolutely unacceptable. The waitress was very offensive and obtuse. The issue obviously isnt the $2 but the principal of the situation. The life blood of an establishment is its reputation. Situations such as this get noticed, and, very quickly. Having been in the business one learns that you NEVER alienate your regulars.Im sure there are reasons for the happy-hour policy but those go out the door when you are disrespected and treated like a second-class citizen. There is ZERO reason for rudeness to anyone let alone a customer, and your reasoning disappears under this light.I come here at least once a week and I spend my money in your establishment and have been doing so for years. To be treated in such a manner is unacceptable for anyone, period dot.
