Great place, delicious pastry. Shawarma was amazing. Lots of authentic ingredients for home cooking.
It's got all the essentials. A bit more pricey than the Arabic groceries at Skyline. Try their min-ousha (Arabic pizza) which they bake fresh. Also their Arabic sweets like baklava are baked fresh in the shop so always fresh & tasty. Parking is super easy.
My family and I have been coming here for years from Maryland. Per my mothers request I stop by after or before work to pick up her favorites such as bread, hummus, spinach pies, and other Middle Eastern goods. Yesterday was a terrible experience for me as this store doesnt know how to operate and need better management. Im going to start off with the young gal who works the register when ordering sandwiches as shes extremely rude when I told her I was ready to pick up my order as I was waiting many minutes for the order when the bag was just sitting there. When she told me the bag was ready she said, You need to pay for this! I said, Yea Im going to pay for this at the front register with the rest of my groceries / baked goods Im buying. So she backs up and places both hands in the air and says, Okay! She knows Im a regular and knows i always pay for sandwiches with the rest of my groceries at the front register. I also went to place an order for 40 spinach pies over on the other end where the cakes and baked goods are. I told the gal working I wanted 40 spinach pies. She gives me 8!! I told her I ordered 40 and she said, Yea. The guy had to talk to her and translate in Arabic the number 40 in Arabic. Im like damn next time I place an order I should speak in Arabic. Lastly, I asked a Hispanic female if she could help me look for a certain product and said, Sorry my English is no good. Listen, Im bilingual to but please if you have people running or managing a store then get ppl who are able to know how to at least communicate with customers and know what people are asking. Yesterday was totally insane! Management needs to do a better job with ensuring their staff know what they are doing with the way they treat their customers and know what their customers are asking of them. I shouldnt have to spend my money on workers who pay no mind, attention, or respect to their customers. I may call later to put in a complaint but I wanted to share my experience so that everyone is aware of some of those pathetic ppl
I love this place. best hummus, best appetizers to take home and heat at your next together. A lot of little European pantry Staples that I can't find anywhere else. Delicious cakes also.
