Dr. Kumra has been a fantastic dentist for me and my wife for years now. He's incredibly professional and knowledgeable. He genuinely cares about that task at hand- you can literally see the focus and attention in his eyes. He'll notice the smallest bead of sweat and ask if you're ok or in any pain.He's also very economical and will suggest the truly best options for saving you money. It's a rate trait in doctors these days. My insurance (Kaiser Permanente) only covers basic dental appointments and he makes sure I don't need anything else!Highly recommended!PS- I go to the Elegant Smiles location in the Virginia Square/Ballston/Clarendon area
1. I had 2 fillings with him. Still I feel pain after few months. I went there and I said my tooth is so sensitive and I feel pain, he said "It will be better after few days". Yet, it is few months and still nothing solved. 2. The filling is so tight and I can not floss it properly. I mentioned it and he said "floss it to the side!" I am not happy with this dental office to be honest.

I've been using Dr Kumra for several year now and I have nothing but great service and professional advice when needed. The Arlington office is very nice and convenient for me, but I have visited the Alexandria office as well. Several of my co-workers are now using him and they are very happy with him. I highly recommend him.
I don't recommend! The cleaning with dr Shawn was good, but the root canal with the specialist which I paid for $375 so bad, cause after I did it I went to other dentists center, they showed me the radiography for my mouth and I was shocked that the specialist finished the root canal with the infection not waiting until it vanished, and I supposed to there to continue with my braises and make another cleaning, but I will not, I don't trust anymore.
