Horrendous service that insults you. I was recently promoted in the military and visited this establishment to have new patches sewn onto 3 uniforms. I hung up my uniforms and informed her that I needed the blue patches on the dress shirt, and the green patches on the standard uniform. She replied "I know how to do my job." I thought this was a very hostile tone to take with a customer, but figured she may have had a difficult day so I excused it.She rang me up and informed me it would be $75 to have the sewing done. I politely told her that I believe that is too expensive (I generally have this work done on base where it is very inexpensive) but thank you for your time, I had no idea that this would push her over the edge.Seamstress: "Ok, do not come again. You are filthy." Me: "Excuse me?" thinking I had misheard. Seamstress: "Sorry, do not come here again, you are disgusting."Me: "Don't worry, I wont be coming back."I was in a clean military uniform and cleanly shaven, so I am still unclear if she believed I was unclean or was just trying to insult me. Avoid this establishment at all costs.
Disclaimer, I make effort to write good reviews just as much as poor reviews. It really helps the business/consumer relationship as I am apart of both. I expect for a cleaning service to, clean. Patomac Yard Cleaners failed my expectations horribly. My story: Asked owner to wash and clean my two items (shirt & paints), I also noted stain areas that needed attention. It appeared that Potomac Yard Cleaners washed & ironed the items and just placed them on a wire hanger.If you need low level attention to your clothes, maybe this company will work for you, but if you have clothes that need specific needs and attention at the basic level, I say try another cleaning service. There's more:As I try to check my clothing in store, the owner bullied me into signing my receipt and gives me a death stare to hurry up and leave..Later I go to the grocery store next door, when I am finished, I noticed that the cleaners had gave me a call, I check the message and she is cursing me out in two different languages, basically telling me not to return to her business. To her surprise, I returned with the items and explained calmly face-to-face why she didn't meet expectations, I simply show her the stains that remained on my clothing.. With no rebuttal, she open the door and asked me to leave, I told her, I'd be sure to write this review, and that made her really HOT.. All in all, nobody is perfect, but terrible service and no willingness to get things done right is unacceptable.
