I had the need to transport 2 cycles which were not mine out of state. The rack I was lent was missing vital pieces and wasn't right for my type of car.I called several places and no one could help me until I called Contes. Robert took a new one out of a box, instructed me in the adjustments and made the trip possible and pleasant. He was quick when I returned as well,all the while being knowledgeable and attentive.
Coming from using Conte's in Williamsburg, I was happy that they opened a block away. I had to have a wheel build finished and they were more than happy to assist. Great shop...great folks working there....

I rented a bike for a charity ride. It has been a while since I have been on a bike, so I came in on an earlier weekend to check out options and make sure my rental bike would be in good shape, and then picked up the bike the night before the event. At both visits , the staff at Conte's was amazing. I don't remember customer service this attentive and thoughtful and patient in any store in a very long time. They spent a lot of time with me and made sure everything fit correctly. It was a very positive experience both on a busy Saturday afternoon and on a slow rainy Friday night. I am not an expert about today's bikes, but the store seems to have a very large selection from basic to high end, a bunch of gear and apparel, and a repair facility.
I went in to get another perspective on some beginner questions I had. I am by very impressed with how engaging the staff is and the time he took to help me understand different options and why some choices might be better than other. Highly recommend
