Todd is very knowledgeable about electric bikes and explained to me the differences among Class I, II, and III bikes. Pedago is one of the few bike shops that carry Class II bikes that have pedal and separate throttle assist. A separate throttle assist means you can cruise like a moped, without pedal input. Having commuted for many years on a kit e-bike conversion, I've learned its a nice feature. Todd is helpful and patient. Personalized friendly help. Conveniently located near me in Old Town Alexandria. The bikes are spendy. That being noted, these bikes are professionally assembled, well thought out, and far more durable than your standard bike - which is necessary because you're putting a lot more energy/power through the bike, frame, and wheels than just pedaling. Something to consider if you're contemplating a kit. At my age, it was well worth it to purchase a professionally designed and assembled bike, where everything is integrated nicely. 5 Stars.

My son and I went to Pedego in Alexandria, Va in early August to rent a couple of e-bikes for the day. Todd couldnt have been nicer. After a thorough instruction (first time on an e-bike for us both) we were on our way to Mt. Wow! I had a terrific Father's Day when my daughter bought our family bike rental from Pedego. Our riding experience was fantastic and the crew are so helpful. We rode to Georgetown and back and had a blast. We'll recommend this to anyone who wants to see D.C. in a new way.
