Worst Red Roof Inn that I've stayed at...and it is Red Roof PLUS!! Cockroach!!! I have stayed in multiple Red Roof Inns before and have been surprised at the quality I get for the price I pay, so when I had to book a hotel for a night for an unexpected extra night stay in the area, I went with the Red Roof Inn. After my sister and I moved everything inside the room, we started planning for the next morning to see what our schedule will look like. I wanted to find out if this Red Roof Inn offered breakfast, so I opened the small information binder and a cockroach immediate ran out of it and behind the wood panel holding the TV!!! And as people say, if you see one cockroach, there are A LOT more around!! As the room was already paid for and it wouldn't matter which room we stayed in (there will be cockroaches in other rooms...even if we don't see it), we moved all our stuff away from the walls or dark areas and left all the lights on while we slept. We reasoned that cockroaches normally avoid light, so by leaving all the lights on, they will continue to hide in the shadows. If you don't have an issue with bugs, like cockroaches, then you might be fine to stay here...but I have issues with them and will not be staying here again or any other Red Roof PLUS in the future - the PLUS standard doesn't appear to be too high. Also, the sheets appear to have been washed a lot as they have holes in them and they had marks on them that wouldn't wash off, like pen ink and shoe/floor marks. I did give it 2 stars because the staff was nice, they allowed me to check in early, and the rooms looked clean (aside from the bugs and sheets comment.
Pleasantly surprised for a Red Roof Inn. The rooms are comfortable, affordable and enough. Updated features such as electronics and amenities. Friendly Staff. Located at the beginning of Richmond Highway straight off exit 77-A and the beltway.
The room was surprisingly nice and clean. The staff was very friendly and accommodating with anything I requested. It was only 20 min to downtown. I only gave 4 stars due to the double beds only being full beds and you can easily hear the noise from the road at night. Other than that I was very happy with the quality of room for the price!
The place is clean the staff is great, friendly and approachable. I absolutely enjoyed having the microwave and fridge at my disposal. It was a pleasure walking into meet clean sheets and waste baskets every day. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.
