Why can't google provide -100000000000000000000000000 for review? This company worthies it. I don't want to write my story like a novel since I experienced every comment other people provided here. I need to add one notice for you: the address of Alexandria is just a mail box, so don't expect you can anyone in this address.
Our issues are deceptive sales practices, poor customer service, delivery took forever and poor communication. First, we were given a quote and told on a recorded line and in writing that if we didnt use the full amount of quoted space, we would get a reduction of $7 per cubic foot we didnt use. So we gave away a lot of our stuff to family and charity. We also threw away a lot so that we wouldnt be paying to move it. Turns out they decided not to honor this. Second, they told me that they have their own trucks and drivers and do not contract out the move. Ha! Another lie. Then we got close to the actual moving date. We had it set up for a Saturday, knowing the back-up date would be Sunday. I was told wed get a call the day before to confirm by the person who called a week ahead of time to confirm dates and she swore up and down it would happen on Saturday. So Friday before the move we wait for a call from the company. Finally after waiting until almost closing time, we call them to find out when they will arrive. They advise it will be on Sunday (not Saturday) between 9 and 11. Fine, we understand things are sometimes out of your control. So Sunday rolls around and where is the moving company? Finally around 2pm we get a call from the driver (not the moving company) that they are in Chicago and will be at our house on Monday around 10am. So Monday morning, movers show up and this is when we find out they will not honor the promise made in writing and on the recorded line that we would get money off our quote for space not needed. We have to go along with it because they made me give a non-refundable 35% deposit up front to book our move. The movers were great and did a good job. It wasnt their fault the moving company lied and broke their promises. We were then told our stuff would arrive in our new place in 10-14 days at the most. We didnt actually receive our items until 31 days had passed. Meanwhile during all this time, the moving company wouldnt return my phone calls, didnt answer their phones most of the time and when I did get someone on the line it was always oh, um, we should have your stuff to you in 3-5 days. Finally, we get a call from the driver (again not the moving company, but another third party company) and they will deliver our household items and furniture 31 days after it had all been picked up. They did a great job but many of the boxes were ripped, dented, smashed or damaged beyond normal wear and tear. We were supposed to get claim forms at delivery but since it wasnt the actual moving company they didnt have them. Still no call from the moving company to check in and make sure we dont have any issues or need a claim form.
I would give this place ZERO stars if possible. They called giving me a promising quote on my move with a contract signed at four dollars per cubic foot. Upon pick up they decided that the contract does NOT mean anything to them and charged me $5.43 per cubic foot (which adds up significantly). Not only did the delivery take A MONTH LATER than expected, but all the boxes were soaked resulting in damages. When I tried to reach the company, the manager refuses to speak with me. I am now stuck paying the amount that is falsely due; with the response from customer service "Your case is closed, nothing we can do about it.". They REFUSE to pay back what is owed. This company is the most unprofessional company I have ever worked with. They do not answer any phone calls, and good luck getting that phone call they promised when said "someone WILL call you back shortly." Do not do business with this company if you value your belongings.
DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY!!!! You will get great customer service until you pay the deposit and book a move. Customer service and dispatch are non existant when you are trying to get a delivery, they either will not answer or they hang up on you! The guy who packed up are items was the only one who would answer my calls and try to help. Once we were able to get our delivery (8 days after the promise date) the delivery guys were nice and did work hard but the stress both financially and mentally is NOT worth it!! I would not give one star but they make you! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!!
THESE PEOPLE ARE THEIVES! THEY STOLE EVERYTHING WE OWNED!!!! DO NOT HIRE! Zero Star Rating!!!! My 71 year old mother (who is a retired, disabled Navy Commander) hired these THIEVES to pack an entire three-bedroom house in Central California and move it all to Missouri; they gave nothing but runaround and scammed us out of everything we owned!!! We don't even have family photos!! The crew arrived hours late, took a too much interest in our belongings, were rude beyond measure (I've worked in Customer Service and their bosses are flat-out in-your-face rude!). At the end, the Crew manager extorted my mother, telling her it would be triple the cost of her contract. The Company Was supposed to deliver and receive full payment upon delivery, instead, they wouldn't return phone calls, left threatening messages and said they would sell our belongings if we didn't immediately give them cash or travelers checks (they have phony addresses and names)!!! We can't track these unscrupulous thieves down and law enforcement have been entirely unmotivated!! WE HAVE SINCE DISCOVERED, MANY OTHER PEOPLE HAVE HAD THE SAME TREATMENT! THIS COMPANY CHANGES NAMES AND STATES! We will not stop until these crooks get exposed!!!
