I am very thankful to all of the staff and the Vets at VCA Old Town especially Dr. Jung. Best Vet in Virginia. Everyone at VCA goes over and above . On behalf of my cats and family thank you.

Great doctors and staff here. Everyone I've encountered is really helpful and caring.

Love this place.... the folks are nice and my kittens are well taken care of. The care plan is worth its weight in gold for young animals that need to be seen regularly in their early years.

2nd Edit :-)I received a personal call from the manager sincerely apologizing for my experience. I greatly appreciate the time and compassion she took to address my issue. From previous experiences the last one was certainly different. While the experience was not ideal, the rectifying has been supportive.Edited PostToday I took my dog here today. The front desk folks were great as usual and the process for getting my dog is was great. I did have a different doctor than the others that I've seen before and a newer tech (meaning I've never seen her either). They came across dismissive and left a bad feeling for my experience. I was actually thinking about boarding my dog here but left thinking maybe the previous times were a fluke. One extremely frustrating part of the visit was during the exam. My dog is 13 years and has had several vet visits- so I know he needs a muzzle. I also know that once you take it off it is HELL to get him to put it back on. Thus why I requested to get everything done that you need to and then we take it off. They seemed extremely annoyed with my suggestion. So when I stated "I'm happy to take it off, as long as you put it back on" (I even told them he would growl), they seem to get even more agitated. They finally took him back for his ear cleaning (muzzle on) and bring him back for me to take the muzzle off. No problem. Only for the tech to return with drops. Are you serious?? Why didn't you just put the drops in when he was muzzled. She tells us to put the drops in as soon as we get home. Unbelievable. We get home- 10 mins away- to put the drops in and he's not having it. Of course not, he's been poked at for an hour. I call to see if there is an oral version or something because at this rate he's not going to let us put drops in, again attitude from this doc. So now I'm out $274, fighting with a dog who is clearly in pain, and frustrated. This really soured my experience here. As others have noted, this place is rather expensive. You shouldn't leave feeling unsettled and dismissed. Previous PostMy 13 year old beagle hates people- hes cute but grumpy. This place has taken all of the nervousness out of taking him to a vet. They are absolutely wonderful with him and he doesnt shake out of fear here like he has at other places. They are so gentle with him (and me). I never have a problem getting an appointment- even same day. One other thing that I greatly appreciate, they show you the cost of everything upfront. Vets can be extremely expensive and the anxiety I used to feel about not affording everything has gone away. Seriously, having the cost upfront is really appreciated

I came I with my rabbit he had digestive problems. I was able to make a came day appointment however miss it, However I was able to come in at 6pm. The staff was nice Vet was nice. I've I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 because I had to wait a very long time to be seen. Also his medication was expensive along. They along didn't have one of the medication I needed. I was sent to s pet store and they didn't have either. So I had to order it online. Just inconvenience for me. My rabbit is much better now thanks to VCA.
